By default the screen resolution is usually set so that all the icons appear quite small and more information can fit on the screen. This is fine if you have perfect eyesight, but many people prefer to use a lower resolution so that the icons appear larger and are easier to read.
How to change the screen resolution
In Windows Vista/Windows 7, RIGHT click on a blank part of the desktop. {+}
Select Graphics Properties from the dialog box.
Click on the downward pointing arrow beside “Screen Resolution” and choose a different setting. Click on Apply. Your screen will probably flicker and may go black while the computer adjusts the settings.
You will see a dialog box asking if you want to keep the new settings. If the new setting works and is what you want, click on OK, otherwise click on Cancel and try another setting.
You may need to experiment with different settings to find one that looks correct on your monitor. Don’t be afraid to try a few settings.
