As a computer troubleshooter, I am frequently told by my clients that their computers are running slowly. I spend a lot of my time cleaning up registries, deleting unwanted files, defragging hard drives and generally tidying up problems. Even then there are things that I miss that Tune-up Utilities can take care of – and at considerably less cost than a single visit from me.
I’m sure all Windows users know this feeling. You buy a shiny, brand new computer and it’s fast and efficient. Within a few short months its performance starts to slow down. It becomes cranky and sluggish and you find yourself having to restart the computer more and more often.
It doesn’t have to be like that. I’m like an over-anxious mother with my computer. It only has to hiccup and I run a selection of anti-malware and other software to sort out whatever has gone wrong.
Just recently I discovered Tune-Up Utilities – which made a significant difference to the speed at which my laptop works. Yes, you do have to pay for it. The advantage of a paid program is that it runs automatically and regularly. Once you’ve run the initial scan it simply runs silently in the background, flashing up the occasional report so that you can see what it has been doing.
I have written a guide to installing and using TuneUp Utilities.
If you’d like to read it, just sign up to my mailing list (box on the right hand side of this site) and you will be emailed a copy. It has lots of screenshots of how to set it up and explanations of what it does and how it works. The guide is FREE to anyone joining the list.
There is no need to remember to update TuneUp Unitilities. There is no need to remember to open and run it. It does everything for you, automatically, keeping your computer running in optimum condition.
(Note – Tune-up utilities is NOT a substitute for your anti-virus and anti-malware software – it is specifically designed to keep your computer running efficiently and smoothly.)
